Time to dance.

November 4th, 2007 at 01:21 pm

Have not been on here in about two weeks. Thought I'd update you guys on my current situation. We got the Wal-Mart CC paid off!

Now the reason I havent been updating...

Were now $25,000 more in debt! But I'm OK with that. Because that's how much were paying on our new trailer. No more renting.

Went looking at trailers Saturday two weeks ago. Filled out the loan application that same day. A week went by and the guy calls us up and tells us that there are 3 other people looking at that same trailer. So I went to the bank and took out a loan for $5,000 and gave him the down payment for it. It's now ours. They're going to be moving it in about a week, which means we'll be moving out of this crappy house in about 2!

Any whoo here's the debt "chart" update-

Wal-Mart - $0 (paid off)
Orchard - $250
Chase - $290
Capitol1 - $0 (paid off)

New debt:
Trailer - $25,000. Payments of $270 a month for the next 15 years.

DP Loan - $5,000. Payments of $120 for the next 3 years. (Gonna pay off most of this with income taxes.)

Chase - Visa

October 18th, 2007 at 01:21 am

Alright, paid the min. payment for this month on the Chase card. Which was $259.84(3.5 months behind). Now were caught up on that!

Which means we only owe them about $300. WOOT WOOT! And Stephanie and I still have money in our checking account. I'm debating splitting it up between Chase and Wal-Mart, but this money also has to get us by until next Wednesday. So I'm kinda torn here.

Here's the update on what we owe:

Chase $500.00
-$259.84
=$240.84ish

Wal-Mart $1000
-$140
=$860ish

Orchard - $300

Capitol One - $150

It's crazy, Stephanie told me today that I've become quite the little "penny pincher." That made me feel all fuzzy inside...LOL. I like that I'm watching how much is being spent and not buying as much junk as before. Now, as long as I keep that up. We should be able to meed out goal of having all the CC paid off by April! GO US!

**Note: all the "ish's" are there because the original balance was a guesstimate, I didnt have the bills on hand to get exact.**

Wal-Mart

I've come to the conclusion that Wal-Mart is the devil! LOL.

Seriously, Stephanie and I go in last night to get stamps and a pregnancy test. We leave with right at $50 worth of CRAP, and I forgot the stamps!

That's another problem I have, I can't control myself when I buy. If I want it, I usually buy it...

But anyway, I was adding up about how much Stephanie and I were going to be getting paid next week. Turns out we'll have enough to get her Chase card down to the normal min. payment. WOO HOO! Plus we found a trailer that MAY be for sale come April for right at $10K. It's livable. Needs some work, paint, carpet...mostly cosmetics. So that means we can live in it, and fix it up when we have the extra cash. But I'm not going to get my hopes up just yet. April is still a little ways away.

So my goals for next Wednesday:
1. Pay power
2. Pay refrigerator payment
3. Pay Chase

That right there totals to about $450. That's not even all of her pay check! We'll have about $80 left from her's and my entire $260, to go to...

You guessed it. Credit cards! LOL.

I'm excited.

Here we go.

Here's a little more of an introduction than the Autor Info area to your right.

My name is Casey a.k.a. MunkyButt. I'm 19 years old, and I'm engaged. Me and my fiance (Stephanie) have been living together since May of 2006 and have acquired some credit card debt. We live with room mates in a house we really can't afford. And we have 3 dogs.

The reason I'm here
I'm here to A. Get advice from others and B. Help others in what I've found out/learned. I'm going to try to update everyday, but that may change.

Credit Card No. 1
Capitol One
I owe them around $150. I've had the account balance down like $5, but I forgot to pay it one month, and didn't have the money other months. This one is going to be the easiest to pay off.

Credit Card No. 2
Orcard Bank Master Card
I just recently got this card to help out with Stephanie's two credit cards. Low limit so it'll be easier to pay off. I owe them right at $300.

Those are the two cards that I have in my name, but this is a joint thing so here are Stephanie's cards

Credit Card No. 3
Wal-Mart
This is a store card. And what a store to get credit for! Lol. Ok she/we owe right at $1000 on this card. This one is gong to take us the longest to pay off, because of the amount owed and our jobs.

Credit Card No. 4
Chase Student Visa
She/we owe $500 on this card. And it's going to keep going up until we can come up with $250 to pay the min. payment (yes we've let it get that far behind).

My plan to get out of this mess
So far we've managed to pay off 4 credit cards (you read that right, we had 8). Now time for the last four. My goal is to have all of these payed off by April of 2008. Unreachable goal? I hope not. Pluse in all of this were trying to save up for a down payment on a mobile home, and save up for a wedding, yeah lots to do in a little less than 6 months time.

So now you have the gist of my current situation...Well, no you don't, I forgot the cell phone, $900 owed to T-Mobile, because someone likes to text, not gonna name names *caugh*Stephanie*caugh*.

Now...I've hit a bump in the road, I/we have a grand total of about $2,900 worth of debt. I've given us right at 6 months to get this paid off. I make about $1,100 a month and she makes right at $1,000. Wow, our debt is more than we make a month combined...that sucks. Oh yeah, back to the bump in the road.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS!!!
